Community garden sustenance

can you dig it?

your support helps our gardens grow!

The past 15+ years of farming opportunities on borrowed land have been incredibly bountiful and full of growth, but it has also been long, rocky, and unpredictable. We have realized that in order for us to do the most good, we need to focus our efforts on finally creating our own vision of what a farm should look like.

Welcome to Sustenance Organic Farm + Community Garden.

Although the location is still in the works, our goal of starting a community garden and food donation program in conjunction with our viable farm business is a top priority.

However, during the first few years of a farm, margins are slim and the start up costs of our sharing economy projects will not be readily met.

That's where this fundraiser comes into play!

Your donations will make it possible for a wide variety of people to enjoy a resource that they wouldn't be able to afford on their own (in this case, land for growing fresh organic fruits and vegetables!)

As current events once again highlight the inequity in our food system, it is critical that EVERY farm/farmer does their part to bridge this gap. We are committed to using our resources, skills, and privileges to empower those that have historically been oppressed by our food and land systems and we will  create access to fresh healthy food +  agricultural education opportunities so that food independence can become a real possibility.

Funds raised will go to:

  • 25 raised garden beds for public use (soil included): $12,500

  • Permanent Fence to protect our community garden from wildlife: $10,000

  • Greenhouse for Community Garden Seedlings: $10,000

  • Potting + Storage Shed: $3,000

  • Gardening Equipment (tools, hoses, wheelbarrows, harvesting baskets, etc): $1500

  • DuraGreen 45" x 48" x 30" Bulk Bin Container for food donations: $1000

  • Seasonal Community Garden Paid Apprenticeships: $12,000
